So What Is Artisanal PV All About Anyway?

Yeah, so we've been plugging our various social media accounts and other profiles on websites where you can find us, but haven't done all that much to actually say what it is that we're all about. The "Royal We" has had this idea floating around in our heads for awhile, which has only become somewhat more  overwhelming this past year as the media has finally started to cover the climate crisis on a regular basis, really trying to drive home how important and necessary it is to address our addiction to fossil fuels. The message is pretty clear, that we need to transition off of fossil fuels, like super quick, in the next decade or two and more or less 100% phased out by 2050. Solar and other renewable energy technologies aren't new, they've been around forever, but in the past year or two they are now cheaper than fossil fuels, large parts of the US and the rest of the world, solar is almost or at grid parity... so why aren't more people switching to solar? We don't have an answer to that, but we do have an idea... solar has a big up front cost, but let's be honest, it's also kind of unattractive, or at the very least simply utilitarian. Why don't we try and make solar a little more interesting, come up with, encourage and promote unique solar designs, architecturally interesting solar, something that's a little bit more than just a few rectangular shapes plonked on your roof... what if we got artists, designers, architects involved in putting their creative juices to work to make solar something more interesting, or at least visually appealing. So, we came up with the idea for Artisanal PV. We are absolutely the first to admit that the name might sound a little pretentious, corny,  but heck we have artisanal chocolates, artisanal ice cream, artisanal coffee, pretty much artisanal everything, so why not artisanal solar. You see the name, you probably know what to expect.

Social Media Alternatives Where Artisanal PV Can Be Found

If our last post was a shameless plug for our instagram account then watch out, you ain't seen nothing yet, this post delves even further in to shamelessly promoting our other properties online. The big three social media accounts are all too obvious, but there are literally hundreds of lesser platforms that provide good services, whether one might be looking for inspiration, or perhaps to reach potential new clients, or for the very basic just generally market yourself online. Since we're mostly visual at this point, we're focusing on web properties and services that can give us visual recognition - Behance, is the Adobe visual website repository, with an amazing amount of work from all over the world, it's an easy site to get lost in if you're a big fan of design, here's a direct link to the Artisanal PV Behance account. A site that very similar to Behance but not specific to any software is Design Inspiration, equally as good, but not as well populate, we have an account there at Design Inspiration Artisanal PV. The last of our shameless alternative social media plugs is going to point you towards our Dwell Artisanal PV profile, love Dwell, we've all seen the awesome very sexy magazine they are so well known for, their website is equally browse worthy, although we don't have all that much there yet.

Helpful Hashtags To Find Us

As we struggle to find an effective use for our blogger website a couple of ideas present themselves as potentially helpful - hashtags. The internet runs on hashtags, or at least instagram does, and since it's our most effective communication tool so far, following are a handful of the hashtags that we use specifically on our instagram account, but also find related images on other accounts - Architectural Solar, Unique Solar, Artisanal PV, Custom Solar Installation... Obviously this is something of a shameless plug for our instagram account and for our website.

Welcome to Artisanal PV At Blogger

Welcome to the Blogger site for Artisanal PV. For right now we don't have all that much planned for this site, using it mostly as a place marker. As the old saying goes, "It's better to have a blogger site and not need it than to need a blogger site and not have it."... We just made that up. If you're interested and curious to learn more about us, then we would strongly suggest that you waste little time and make your way over to either or primary website - Artisanal PV, or you are welcome to check out our social media sites which will offer at best quick snapshots of what we're doing and what we're all about. Our personal favorite for social media is our instagram account, we're kind of visual type people so it works well for what we do. You are of course welcome to check us out and encouraged to follow / like us etc on Artisanal PV Facebook and Artisanal PV Twitter.

From time to time when there is relevant news and other worthwhile goings on, we will update this property as need be. If you want to check out latest press and press releases, those are posted to our Press page on our website.
